Welcome to the Planet Ecotours

We specialise in friendly personal small group day tours in a luxury 11 seater Mercedes Benz Sprinter with panoramic windows. All our tours begin and end in central Auckland. As well as comprehensive tours of Auckland city we are available for private and exclusive tours for small groups wherever you may wish to go for a day tour including Hobbiton, Waitomo, Rotorua, Matakana and Auckland’s West Coast.

We are 100% owned and operated by New Zealanders. Your guide is a direct descendant from settlers who arrived in Auckland just after the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840. We recall New Zealand’s stories from those early settlers up to the present.

As proud JAFAs (Just Another Fantastic Aucklander) we have in depth knowledge of what makes Auckland tick. Your Icons tour takes you through parts of Auckland’s volcanic field and into our award winning Waterfront, past majestic Victorian villas to beach front mansions...we ensure you experience the Auckland we know.

Part of every tour we take goes to protecting and enhancing the unique flora and fauna of this land part of the 80 million year old continent, Gondwanaland.

Enjoy your journey through our website and we look forward to proudly showing you Aotearoa, New Zealand on every tour you book with us.

Please email us at info@planetecotours.com for personal tours in and around Auckland and for any other information.

"Half Day Auckland City Tour"
31st October 2016 Reviewed by ashtondorney

Anyone wanting an introduction to Auckland over the space of just a few hours should look no further than this tour. Colin was our driver and tour guide. His knowledge was second to none. His information was conveyed in a clear, friendly and authoritative voice. Nothing was too much trouble. He answered a variety of questions and was always willing to stop or make detours for photographs. I cannot imagine getting this sort of value on one of the city tour buses. My wife and I travelled to New Zealand from the UK. This was one of the best city introductions we have ever had.
